The Nigerian film industry has experienced tremendous growth in recent years. Regarded as the third largest film industry in the world, not much could be said about the quality of movies produced.

In an attempt to take the industry to the next level, some Actresses have joined other stakeholders to improve the quality of our films by taking a shot at directing. Apart from dishing out sizzling acting performances in front of the camera, these Nollywood Actresses have become Directors making interesting and good quality movies.

Stephanie Linus

Born Stephanie Onyekachi Okereke, she adopted the name Stephanie Linus when she got married in 2012. A graduate of English and Literary Studies from University of Calabar, Stephanie started acting professionally as a teenager in 1997. She took a shot at the 2002 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant where she emerged First Runner Up.

After starring in many movies and winning several awards, the mother of one attended the New York Film Academy in 2007. Upon her graduation, she made her directorial debut with the movie “Through the [email protected]” Her latest movie “Dry” is currently making waves across the globe.
